This notice covers the DutyCheck mobile app (Android and iOS) — a client for the DutyCheck Nextcloud app on your organisation’s server.

1. Scope
This policy describes the DutyCheck Mobile app (package de.softwarebydesign.dutycheck). The app is a client for the open-source DutyCheck Nextcloud app on your organisation’s Nextcloud.
Software by Design does not operate a central cloud for duty rosters. Your employer or IT provider operates the server you sign in to.

4. What is sent to your Nextcloud server
DutyCheck Mobile connects only to the Nextcloud server you sign in to: roster browse/sync, acknowledgements, and related DutyCheck API calls. Production builds require HTTPS.
5. Push notifications
Optional push uses the Nextcloud Notifications app and the Nextcloud push proxy after you grant permission. Publish notifications do not include other employees’ names.
6. What we do not do
- No sale of personal data
- No third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
- No transfer of roster data to Software by Design servers
- No profiling or marketing by the app publisher

8. Your rights (GDPR)
You can sign out and clear local app data on the device. For records on the server, contact your employer or Nextcloud administrator. Contact datenschutz@software-by-design.de for questions about this mobile app.
9. Children
The app is intended for workplace use, not for children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the app changes. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly.
